Recording & photo permission

Cameras may record video, photographs, and incidental audio in indoor and outdoor event areas. Bathrooms and designated private areas are excluded. With your permission, appropriate recordings, still images, and costume photos of you and minors in your care may appear on YankeloveRealm.com for voting, event recaps, galleries, and archives. Costume entries use the participant’s chosen display name. Hosts may hide or remove an entry.

Voluntary participation

Guests choose whether to enter the property or join any activity. The bounce house, games, crafts, and haunted effects may cause injury, fright, anxiety, or temporary changes in heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, or other vital signs. Adults supervise the minors in their care.

Adult & guardian authorization

The signer must be 18 or older. For children, the signer must be their parent or legal guardian, or have authority from their parent or legal guardian to sign and grant any selected photo permission.

Event Participation Agreement

EVENT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASE, AND MEDIA AUTHORIZATION Halloween at the Yankeloves’ • October 31, 2026 • 4:30–10:00 PM This is a free family event at a private residence. Attendance and participation are voluntary. By choosing to enter the event property or participate in Halloween at the Yankeloves’ (the “Event”), I agree as follows for myself and, where applicable, acknowledge these terms as the parent or legal guardian of the minor participants identified with my household. 1. VOLUNTARY ENTRY AND PARTICIPATION Attendance and participation are voluntary. The Event may include entering and moving about a private residence and its indoor and outdoor areas; darkness, low lighting, fog, loud or sudden sounds, flashing or decorative lighting, startle effects, frightening images, actors, props, decorations, uneven or obstructed walking surfaces, steps, weather conditions, crowds, costumes or masks that restrict vision or movement, food and beverages, crafts, games, a bounce house or other inflatable attraction, and other Halloween activities. 2. KNOWN AND UNEXPECTED RISKS I understand that entry and participation may involve risks of fright, anxiety, surprise, disorientation, falls, collisions, contact with people or objects, strains, sprains, cuts, bruises, allergic reactions, choking, illness, property damage, serious bodily injury, disability, or death. Haunted or startle effects and physical activity may temporarily increase or otherwise affect heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, stress level, or other vital signs. Risks may arise from my own actions; the actions of children, guests, hosts, vendors, or other participants; the condition of the premises or equipment; or other causes, whether obvious or not. 3. HEALTH AND PERSONAL JUDGMENT I am responsible for deciding whether I and the minors in my care can safely enter and participate. Anyone who is pregnant or who has a heart, blood-pressure, respiratory, neurological, seizure, mobility, sensory, anxiety, or other condition that may be affected by physical activity, darkness, flashing light, fog, loud noise, or fright should refrain from the affected activity unless cleared by an appropriate medical professional. Any participant may decline or stop an activity at any time. 4. BOUNCE HOUSE, GAMES, AND ACTIVITIES I will follow posted rules and all instructions from the hosts, attendants, equipment providers, or rental company. I will not permit participation that is unsafe or inconsistent with age, size, health, capacity, or stated rules. I understand that a rental company or activity provider may require a separate agreement, and that this agreement does not replace any provider-specific rules or documents. 5. CHILD SUPERVISION I remain responsible for the direct and appropriate supervision of every minor in my care. The hosts are not accepting custody of or providing childcare for any child. I will ensure that minors follow instructions and will remove them from any activity or area that appears unsuitable or unsafe for them. 6. FOOD, BEVERAGES, AND ALLERGENS Food and beverages may contain or contact common allergens and may be prepared by third parties. I am responsible for asking questions, monitoring consumption, and deciding what I and the minors in my care may safely consume. Alcohol, if offered, is only for adults age 21 or older; anyone who drinks is responsible for doing so lawfully and safely and for arranging safe transportation. 7. ASSUMPTION OF RISK To the fullest extent permitted by Michigan law, I knowingly and voluntarily assume all inherent and other risks associated with entering the property, attending the Event, and choosing to participate in any activity, including risks described above and risks that are not presently known or reasonably foreseeable. 8. ADULT RELEASE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE For myself only, and to the fullest extent permitted by Michigan law, I release and agree not to sue the event hosts, homeowners, household members, volunteers, agents, contractors, activity providers, equipment owners, equipment rental companies, and each of their representatives, successors, and insurers (collectively, the “Released Parties”) for claims arising from my entry, attendance, or participation, including claims based on the ordinary negligence of a Released Party. This release does not apply to gross negligence, willful or wanton misconduct, intentional misconduct, or any liability that Michigan law does not permit to be released. 9. MINOR PARTICIPANTS For each minor in my care, I acknowledge the risks described in this agreement, affirm my authority to make attendance and participation decisions, accept responsibility for supervision, and consent to the minor’s voluntary participation. This agreement does not claim to waive a minor’s rights to the extent Michigan law does not permit a parent or guardian to waive them. 10. EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE AND PERSONAL PROPERTY If emergency assistance reasonably appears necessary, I authorize the hosts to contact emergency services. I understand that the hosts do not guarantee medical personnel or treatment on site. I remain responsible for resulting costs. I am also responsible for personal property brought to the Event. 11. AUDIOVISUAL RECORDING NOTICE AND AUTHORIZATION I understand that visible or disclosed cameras and recording equipment may continuously or intermittently monitor and record video, photographs, and incidental audio in indoor and outdoor Event and common areas for safety, security, documentation, and Event memories. Recording will not be intentionally conducted in bathrooms or areas designated private or closed to guests. By entering and remaining in the recorded Event areas, I acknowledge this recording and authorize the hosts to capture my image, likeness, voice, actions, and appearance, and those of the minors in my care. I understand that conversations occurring within range of recording equipment may be captured and should not be considered private. I grant the hosts permission to select, edit, crop, resize, reproduce, display, and publish appropriate Event recordings or still images on YankeloveRealm.com for Event review, costume voting, yearly galleries, winner displays, and future noncommercial Event archives. I receive no compensation. The hosts will not intentionally publish private contact information or private RSVP or digital check-in data with an image. I may ask the hosts to stop future website display of a particular image or recording, although removal cannot undo copies already made by others or uses already completed. 12. COSTUME PHOTOGRAPHY AND PUBLICATION If I upload or submit a costume photograph, I grant the hosts the same permission to use and publish that photograph with the intentionally selected display name and costume information for Event voting, review, yearly galleries, winner displays, and future noncommercial Event archives. I understand that anything published online may be viewed, saved, or shared by others. 13. AUTHORITY FOR PEOPLE SHOWN I will submit only photographs of myself, my minor child or ward, or another person for whom I have obtained permission sufficient for the uses described above. If a minor appears, I affirm that I am the minor’s parent or legal guardian or have the parent’s or legal guardian’s express authority to submit the image and grant this permission. 14. ELECTRONIC AGREEMENT; ENTIRE TERMS; SEVERABILITY By entering my full name and selecting the required acknowledgments, I intend to sign this agreement electronically. I have had the opportunity to read it before participating. This agreement, together with any separate rules or provider documents that apply to a particular activity, states the terms concerning the matters it addresses. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the fullest extent permitted by law. Michigan law governs this agreement.
